2 Manchester United youngsters have made it to a 100-man list of contenders for the Golden Boy award. Amad Diallo and Mason Greenwood are the players to be named among the 10-man shortlist.
The prize is given to the best Under-21 youngster who plays in a European nation’s top tier. Mason Greenwood was in contention for the award last year but ended up 12th in the final voting, with the award going to Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.
Although the Norwegian is not eligible for the award anymore, the competition is still strong, with the list featuring players like his Dortmund’s teammate Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga from Rennes, Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala, and Barcelona’s Pedri.
Meanwhile, 20 names will be cut down each month until a 20-man shortlist remains and a winner is announced at the end of the year.
