Former Tottenham striker slams Timo Werner calling him a “blind horse” for lack of end product. Although he admits that the German is a fast striker.
“He’s [Werner] super-fast, and that might be nice in an away game when you’re under pressure, but it’s just putting your head down and running around,” Raphael Van der Vaart told Ziggo Sport.
“Werner is truly a blind horse. He has already proven that in Germany.”
Timo Werner, meanwhile, has truly struggled for goals in his first season in England. The former RB Leipzig forward has managed just 10 goals in 41 outings this season.
However, Werner has been productive in terms of assists, notching 11 this term for the Blues.
Raphael Van der Vaart scored 175 goals in 546 games as a center forward. He played for the likes of Real Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur, and Ajax.
