18-Year-Old Chelsea Academy Graduate Close To Permanent Exit

18-year-old Chelsea Academy graduate Lewis Bate is set to complete a permanent move to Leeds United, according to Goal’s Nizaar Kinsella.

The midfielder has rejected a contract offer from the Blues and as his current deal expires in 12 months, Chelsea have opted to sell him.

The England U19 international was highly rated by Frank Lampard’s coaching staff and was an unused substitute for Chelsea’s first team on two occasions.

Lewis Bate also attracted interest from Liverpool, West Ham, and Southampton. However, he has chosen to join Leeds as he is looking for more first-team minutes at the Premier League level.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have complete the selling of Marc Guehi to Crystal Palace in a similar situation, while Tino Livramento and Myles Peart-Harris could soon follow that route.

On the other hand, Armando Broja has signed a five-year contract extension with Chelsea and might get a chance with Thomas Tuchel’s side next season.
