Man United Finally Confirm 2 Strikers To Replace Cristiano Ronaldo In The Summer

According to tier-one journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United are 100% certain to sign a new striker in the summer transfer window.

During an appearance on Rio Ferdinand’s Vibe with Five podcast, Romano explained: “They have many options. This is for the midfielder, this is for the striker.

“They have to decide together with the new manager because it depends on what kind of striker you want to get.

“We always have numerous rumors around [Erling] Haaland but it’s more than difficult so I don’t see Haaland as a realistic option at the moment for Man United.”

The reporter further added: “I would keep an eye on other names. I saw the name around Lautaro Matinez. He could be one of the names on the list for the summer.

“We had also the name of [Christopher] Nkunku that is doing great with [RB] Leipzig and he’s a player that Ralf Rangnick knows so well.

“This is why they will take their time, but 100% Man United will have a new striker. They need a striker and this is why they started the process to look at options but nothing has been decided yet.”

With Mason Greenwood not an option at the moment, United only have Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani as options for the No.9 role.

The need for a new striker is more apparent than ever and that should be a priority for the Red Devils at the end of the season.

In 2021-22, Ronaldo, 37, is our highest goalscorer with 15 strikes across competitions so far.
