2 Ways Manchester United Would Line Up With Cristian Eriksen Next Season Has Been Revealed
Man United have made a contract offer to free agent Christian Eriksen to join them, the reliable David Ornstein has confirmed.
The Red Devils are facing stiff competition for Eriksen, who is attracting interest from the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Brentford, and more clubs.
But, United are among the leading contenders for him as Eriksen takes his time to decide on his future club.
With that being, let’s look at two possible ways United can line up next season if able to rope in the Danish midfielder (these lineups are only include players from the current squad).
Option 1: Deployed As a No. 8

Eriksen is quite a versatile midfielder who can slot into a number of positions in midfield. His preferred position is, but, the no.8 position. If Erik ten Hag lines up his United side in a 4-3-3 formation, the Danish midfielder can easily play alongside Bruno Fernandes as a no.8.
Christian is a creative player who can help take up the goal-creating duties and also allow Bruno more freedom to attack. Eriksen’s set-piece ability and crosses can help him thrive in this system and become a major force in creating chances.

Option 2: Used as Bruno’s Replacement

The Danish midfielder can also play in a more advanced role if needed and can be a solid no.10 option in case Fernandes is injured or not performing well enough. Eriksen is quite prolific in the attacking areas and knows when to cut open the opposition backline as well as create for his forwards.
If given enough freedom to roam around, Eriksen can bring a unique threat to United’s attacks and cause a lot of trouble from the no.10 position.
