2020 World Best XI: Ronaldo Leads As Messi Was Nowhere To Be Found
Cristiano Ronaldo leads Messi-less and Bayern-dominated 2020 world best XI. In the list, four players from the German giants were included, three from Liverpool, one each from Manchester City and Paris Saint-German also feature and Ronaldo was the player from Serie A to feature in the 2020 world best XI.
The list was released by French sports newspaper L’Equipe in their Monday edition. It was no surprise that Bayern Munich players dominated the lineup after their treble-winning season last year.
In between the sticks is the German side’s shot-stopper Manuel Neuer and teammate Alphonso Davies slots in at left-back position after an impressive breakout season. Elsewhere, Joshua Kimmich pairs with Thiago Alcantara, who switched to Liverpool last summer, while the Champions League top scorer last campaign Robert Lewandowski, who also netted astonishing 55 goals last term, takes the striker role.
