25-year-old Chelsea loanee set to return to Stamford Bridge this summer as Anderlecht fail to meet valuation due to financial difficulties.
Matt Miazga is set to return to Chelsea after his loan spell at Anderlecht ended without a permanent move.
Goal have reported that the Belgian club wanted to keep the American but couldn’t meet Chelsea’s valuation for the defender.
Meanwhile, Matt Miazga himself has expressed his desire to stay in Belgium, telling HLN in April, “I would like to be here, but such a decision depends on several parameters.”

However, with Miazga’s current Chelsea contract running till 2022, the defender will either be sold or loaned out for another year unless the Blues decide to extend his deal.
Even though he has impressed with Anderlecht, becoming a regular first-team player, and helping them qualify for the UEFA Conference League, his level is currently not good enough for the European Champions and he will likely be moved on in the transfer window.
