3 Chelsea Players To Miss Watford Game As Thomas Tuchel Provides Injury Update

Asked to provide an injury update for Chelsea’s upcoming game against Watford, Thomas Tuchel told the media (via Chelsea FC): “He [Romelu Lukaku] came on and we continued to train. There is no reaction from his injured ankle. He is ready to progress, this is where he is.

“For sure out – Chilwell, Kovacic, and N’Golo Kante.”

The coach then added: “We have some doubts of players, more time and examinations. Reece James, Jorginho and Timo. They all trained today but there will be some last-minute decisions.”

The gaffer did not specify why Reece, Jorginho, and Werner are doubts. However, there doesn’t seem to be a major injury to any of the three players so hopefully, they can be fit for this game.

Chelsea are currently the Premier League leaders with one point above second-placed Manchester City. The Blues will be hoping to return to winning ways against Watford after playing a 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Sunday at Stamford Bridge.
