Kylian Mbappe is the most expensive player in the world, as per Transfermarkt. The Paris Saint-Germain forward is valued at €160m, €30m more than the second-placed Erling Haaland.
Curiously, Lionel Messi does not make the top 20. His two former Barcelona teammates, Frenkie de Jong and Pedri, are even ahead of him, in 9th and 16th place, respectively.
