Christian Eriksen has been officially announced as our second signing of the summer transfer window.
The Danish playmaker has arrived at Manchester United on a free transfer, signing a contract that runs till 2025.
He’s not expected to immediately join the squad in Melbourne for pre-season. The same goes for Lisandro Martinez, whose official announcement is imminent.
Several players have already left Old Trafford this summer, meaning there are more shirt numbers up for grabs. Let’s take a look at some vacant ones for Eriksen –
Most recently worn by Paul Pogba, who has left for Juventus. This number was worn by center-backs Wes Brown and Jonny Evans.
Worn by Park Ji-Sung during his hey-days at Old Trafford. The number is now available following Lee Grant’s departure.
This number was worn by Jesse Lingard but now that he’s left, Eriksen could possibly take this up. Also worn by Javier Hernandez in the past.
Eriksen wore No.24 at Inter Milan and could do the same at United, following Timothy Fosu-Mensah’s exit.
Other numbers available below are 30: 15, 18, 21, and 26.
