5 Players Chelsea Could Sign This Summer After Receiving €200m From Todd Boehly Revealed

As per multiple sources including the Evening Standard, Todd Boehly wants to push Chelsea towards immediate title contention and will give Thomas Tuchel the cash to spend this summer.

The Blues will reportedly have a transfer budget of €200m as they aim to revamp the squad.

Chelsea are looking to sign a couple of center-backs, a midfielder, and a forward as well as a couple of backup signings with this money.

Now according to multiple sources, Blues boss Thomas Tuchel has been a big fan of Sevilla and French center-back Jules Kounde and the German has singled him out as a priority for the West London club.

Also, Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele has been reportedly close to making a free summer move to the English side with Tuchel the key man for the transfer, should it happen.

With Chelsea recently noted to be among the few clubs with no debt across the European top 5 leagues, it’s believable that they can pull off impressive summer signings while maintaining the financial fair play (FFP) regulations.

That being said, the Blues are also known to be long admirers of West Ham United’s English midfielder in Declan Rice, who was once a Chelsea academy player. Although a transfer this summer could prove very costly considering West Ham’s stands that they wouldn’t want to let their star player leave pre-mature. However, a transfer fee in the region of €100m is believed to be enough to price the 23-year-old man away from the London Stadium.

Attacking players such as Neymar and Raheem Sterling have also been linked with moves to Stamford Bridge this summer in what could be statement signings for the Todd Boehly era. Should these signings go in the favour of Chelsea, the Blues would be an unstoppable force in Europe come next season!
