Roman Abramovich has invited bids from potential suitors as he’s keen to sell Chelsea over the fear of sanctions by the UK government, reports The Telegraph.
One of the potential buyers is known to be Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss but there are two more parties involved as of now.
In fact, Chelsea have already appointed US bank the Raine Group to oversee the sale.
The Telegraph understands that Abramovich is demanding £4 billion to let go of the club he’s owned since 2003.
With every passing day, the pressure is increasing on the government to sanction Abramovich, who reportedly has close ties with Vladimir Putin.
Meanwhile, the Russian invasion of Ukraine has entered the seventh day, with no hopes of achieving peace so far.
The two sides met for a round of talks but were unable to reach an agreement.
