Just over a week ago Olivier Giroud signed a one-year contract extension with Chelsea. However, the Frenchman’s future remains uncertain amid interests from Milan giants.
Now according to reliable source James Robson of the Evening Standard, AC Milan are confident of signing Olivier Giroud soon.
The Italian heavyweights could reportedly finalise the deal as early as the end of this week.
Despite Chelsea recently triggering a one-year extension on the striker’s contract, it has been reported that AC Milan do not want to pay a fee for the striker.
Moreover, Thomas Tuchel would like for Giroud to continue with the Blues and take up a squad role, but the 34-year-old wants to get more playing time.
Olivier Giroud, therefore, is reportedly going to sign a 2-year deal with AC Milan once talks with Chelsea are finalized.
The French international has been at Chelsea for 3 and a half seasons, scoring 39 goals in 119 games. Goodluck Oli
