More Chance For Reece James As Alexander-Arnold Goes Off Injured During England Game
Despite the entire selection fiasco surrounding the Liverpool man, Trent Alexander-Arnold was finally picked for the Euros. However, tragedy may have struck the right-back’s hopes yet again.
While playing in a friendly against Austria, Alexander-Arnold has had to go off, thanks to an injury he picked up mid-game.
According to a report from Melissa Reddy, Gareth Southgate says that Trent’s injury may be a hamstring issue, and the extent to which the injury has happened will only be known on Thursday.
Moreover, with the exact diagnosis pending, the hope is that it’s not a serious issue for the right-back and he can return to action really soon.

But on the other hand, it looks a pretty big opportunity for other right-backs in the squad to grab as the position proves to be the most contested in Gareth Southgate’s selection.
The likes of Reece James, Kieran Trippier, and Kyle Walker would be battling it out for a starting berth in the England squad for the Euro 2020 championship.
Altogether, get well soon, Trent!
