Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante was named the Man of the Match in Chelsea’s 1-0 victory over Manchester City in the 2020-21 Champions League final on Saturday.
After the final whistle, N’Golo Kante and Zouma his Chelsea and France teammate was captured by the camera in a thrilling moment.
The 5ft 6in Frenchman, however, could have missed his side’s celebrations as he walked to the back of the group moments before Cesar Azpilicueta lifted the coveted trophy in Porto.
However, Kurt Zouma was there to give N’Golo Kante the recognition he deserves as he lifted his modest teammate above the group, as some fans on Twitter have spotted.
Here are some videos showing the moment from Twitter posts;
@kingkaifc: “Trying to sleep and all I can think about is Zouma lifting Kante up in the celebrations.”
@VinnyCooney1: “I don’t like Chelsea but this for me was the best part of it on the news then, N’Golo Kante getting lifted up by Kurt Zouma so he could see what was going on…it was like a father lifting his son up to get a better view.”
