We reported last week that Manchester United star Anthony Martial injured his knee while on international duty for France. And now, United boss Ole Gunnar has reckoned the injury is more serious than let on.
Addressing Anthony Martial’s absence from the starting XI vs Brighton, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told MUTV: “Losing Anthony for what might be the rest of the season is very disappointing, especially when reports and signals from there [France] are it wasn’t anything serious, but it looks a bad one.”
The Frenchman injured his knee as Les Bleus beat Kazakhstan in the World Cup qualifying campaign.
Anthony Martial has only scored four times in the Premier League this season but may miss the rest of the 2020-21 campaign as the forward recovers.
