Ballon d’Or To Be Given To 2 Players In The Same Ceremony This Year?

So far, Lionel Messi is currently considered the favorite in the 2021 Ballon d’Or race, and that would mean Robert Lewandowski missing out on the prestigious award.

However, Barcelona fan BarcaWorldwide believes that France Football should make an expectation and award two Ballon d’Ors this year in the same ceremony.

“Would be amazing if France Football presents 2020 and 2021 Ballon d’Ors to Lewandowski and Messi in the same ceremony. Lewandowski really deserved it last year,” they tweeted.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic last year, France Football didn’t award the Ballon d’Or in 2020. And despite Lionel Messi having a decent season that year, most fans agree that Robert Lewandowski deserved to win it.

The Polish striker won the treble with Bayern Munich that year while being their central figure in attack and won the FIFA Men’s Best Player award for the year 2020.
