Earlier today it was reported by Sport that Barcelona president Joan Laporta held an emergency meeting with high-ranking members of his board at Camp Nou in the aftermath of the heavy defeat against Bayern Munich.
Vice president Rafa Yuste and Sporting Director Mateu Alemany were also said to be in attendance.
It was equally said that Ronald Koeman also attended the meeting. However, the club decided against firing the Dutch tactician.
Now, the latest report from Mundo Deportivo claim that Joan Laporta and his board have decided to keep faith with Ronald Koeman after meeting to discuss the gaffer following the Bayern defeat.
Meanwhile, the report includes that President Laporta wants to trust Koeman and give him more time to perform.
Moreover, Koeman has come under intense criticism after Barcelona saw themselves outclassed and outpaced by Bayern Munich at home in their first Champions League group game.
The Dutchman started a sluggish Luuk de Jong in his attack and opted for the distasteful 3-5-2 formation.
