Barcelona And Milan Battle For Manchester United Playmaker As He Makes Contract Decision

Barcelona and AC Milan are considering Manchester United’s playmaker Jesse Lingard as a potential summer signing as his contract with Man United expire in 2022, ESPN reports.

The England international will be allowed to talk to foreign clubs from January 1 if he does not negotiate a new deal with United before that.

As it stands, Lingard has rejected the club’s initial contract offer, and United are yet to return with a fresh proposal.

Other reports claim that there is interest in Lingard from the Premier League clubs as well, including West Ham where he shone on loan in the second part of the last season, and Newcastle.

This season, Lingard has played just 45 minutes across three games in the Premier League but managed to score two goals.
