Kevin De Bruyne’s new lucrative contract at Manchester City has reportedly made him the third highest-paid player in the Premier League behind Gareth Bale and David de Gea.
The Manchester City midfielder ended all doubts regarding his future by signing a two-year contract extension at the club. De Bruyne is now tied to the club until 2025 and his original weekly salary has increased from £300,000-a-week to a reported £320,000-a-week.
But despite moving above Raheem Sterling as Manchester City’s top earner, the Belgian still falls some way short of being the best-paid player in the league as a whole.

According to Sportrac, the playmaker is the third best-paid player in the Premier League. On top of the chart for the best-paid players in the Premier League in 2021 is Gareth Bale, who is on loan from Real Madrid as he pockets £600,000-per-week, and second to him is Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea, who earns £375,000-per-week.
