Jamie Carragher only included 2 Man United players in his combined United-Liverpool XI before the big game on Sunday.
He picked Bruno Fernandes and Mason Greenwood as his two Red Devils in the line-up but snubbed Cristiano Ronaldo.
Carragher explained why, saying: “I’m a massive Greenwood fan, I think he’s a superstar, I really do.
“How can you not put Ronaldo in, in terms of what he’s done, legendary figure? I’m talking about actually right now, today, I’d have to have Greenwood.
“[Roberto] Firmino got a hat-trick for Liverpool at the weekend and has done really well but going back last season, and this season Greenwood is a superstar and I had to find a place for him in there.”
When asked later about whether Ronaldo would get into the current Liverpool team, he simply said: ‘No’.
United will meet an in-form LFC side on Sunday and will need to produce a special performance to break their unbeaten streak in the Premier League.
