The summer business has been on for a while now, however, Chelsea have seemed less busy with the usuals, as only exits of youngsters that we have witnessed so far.
In line with that, Tribuna.com recently asked their readers which players do they think Chelsea should offload in order to make way for a big-money signing like Erling Haaland this summer.
There were a lot of responses under the post, with fans naming the obvious suspects such as Danny Drinkwater and Emerson Palmieri.
However, names like Tammy Abraham and Kurt Zouma also popped up, which suggests that some in the Blues community are okay to let a couple of former first-team starters go if it means getting a world-class player in!
Below are the top responses from the post;
Lutalo Davis: “Emerson, Drinkwater, Barkley, Bakayoko, Batshuayi must go.”
Niranjan Mendis: “Tammy and Zouma can be added to that list too…”
Peter munt: “Alonso, drinkwater, barkley, Abraham, Bakayoko, Batshuayi and Loftus cheek”
Steven Cheesman: “[Agrees with the names listed above] and Abraham, Zappacosta, and Kepa can be sold too if any takers are there.”
reezola: “sell Timo Werner…he is good for nothing..cant score..”
Tony Simmons: “Sell Alonso & Zouma. I believe Tammy is young, not fully developed physically and is still learning his trade, he will benefit us in the longer term. in the short term, he still offers something different up front and he certainly knows where the net is.”
Tunde Babs: “For me, we need to part ways with players like Barkley as Mount has occupied his space. Same thing with Loftus-Cheek, Kurt Zouma his talent was attracted by Mourinho at Roma, Alonso, Bakayoko, Zappacosta and if Halaand transfer is done we can part ways with Abraham also.”
Quite lots of responses, but these are the ones we can pull out for now.
