Chelsea have confirmed they have triggered a one-year extension clause in Billy Gilmour’s contract.
The midfielder is now contracted to Chelsea until 2024.
The Scotland international spent the 2021-22 season on loan with Norwich, making 24 league appearances.
Billy has made 22 appearances for Chelsea after breaking into the first team in 2019 unfortunately for the youngster Frank Lampard lost his position as the Blues head coach.
Gilmour could be presented with an opportunity to impress Thomas Tuchel in the preseason this summer and hopefully he would impress the gaffer to earn himself a spot in the current Blues squad.
