Upon leaving the restaurant in Barcelona where he met the Barca bosses, Chelsea’s owner Todd Boehly was asked whether there was an agreement with the Catalans. His answer was short: “Yes.”
However, Boehly did not give any names. As per reports from Gerard Romero, though, the parties may have discussed Frenkie de Jong, Sergino Dest, Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso.
At the moment, it is unclear who the agreement was over.
As per previous reports, though, Azpilicueta’s move was the closest one. Barca reportedly have reached a personal agreement with the right-back and want to finalize the deal before Sunday.
De Jong and Dest are still said to be opposed to leaving. As for Alonso, his transfer is deemed more difficult and he was expected to have a personal meeting with Chelsea’s owners to discuss his future.
