On Sunday, the Denmark team doctor confirmed that Christian Eriksen had suffered a cardiac arrest, although the player’s previous medical examinations showed nothing wrong.
Eriksen had collapsed on the pitch during Denmark vs Finland game on Saturday and was clinically dead for some time. However, he was managed to be recovered and put in a stable state.
Now recovering, the Inter Milan midfielder has sent out his message of appreciation to the world for saving his life.
“Hello everyone. Big thanks for your sweet and amazing greetings and messages from all around the world. It means a lot to me and my family,” Christian Eriksen posted on Instagram on Tuesday morning.
“I’m fine – under the circumstances. I still have to go through some examinations at the hospital, but I feel okay.
“Now, I will cheer on the boys on the Denmark team in the next matches.
“Play for all of Denmark. Best. Christian.”
