Thomas Tuchel Criticized For His Appearance In The FA Cup Final

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has been criticized for his appearance in the FA Cup final in a suit and tie. Pundits have slammed the German for not respecting the competition enough.

The German gaffer attended the FA Cup final in his trademark Chelsea tracksuit but pundits are not happy with his choice of apparel.

Usually, managers show up for the cup finals in a suit and tie out of respect for the competition. As was seen, Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers was actually suited and booted on the other end.

Some of the notable criticism can be seen below by these pundits;

  • Ian Wright: “I don’t like to see people turning up to the FA Cup in tracksuits. It’s not what this game is about, we saw all the lead-up, the suits is what it is about. You’ve got to wear suits to the final, this is the day!”
  • Andy Cole: “I’m not having a lack of awareness. If he’s watched an FA Cup, which no doubt he has, come on. I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt – but it’s a lack of respect.”

The former Arsenal and Manchester United players have a point. However, Chelsea fans were quick to defend their manager.
