Blues boss Thomas Tuchel has provided a crucial injury update on Chelsea duo N’Golo Kante and Mendy with 5 days left until the Champions League final in Portugal.
Tuchel said of N’Golo Kante’s injury ahead of the Champions League final: “With N’Golo nothing has changed.
“I think about changing my tactics and just put him in training and put him on the pitch when the game starts on Saturday and maybe I will not speak to the doctors and physios so I hear no more doubts. It looks good and I hope it stays like that.”
Then on Edouard Mendy, the gaffer said: “Maybe the update is that we have hope he joins training on Wednesday with the group. He made a huge improvement about his pain.
“Edou will play if he’s fit – images show that the injury is not too serious.”
This is good news for Chelsea fans as it’s very likely that the duo will be available to start against Manchester City in Blues’ most important game of the season!
