Crystal Palace vs Chelsea Players Rating: Pulisic Double, Havertz & Zouma On Target
The first half against Crystal Palace was arguably the best half of football we have seen from this Chelsea side this season so far. So now it’s time to review the Chelsea players rating to see how each player performed in the convincing win over the Eagles.
Chelsea Players Rating vs Crystal Palace
With the Chelsea attack finally clicking under Thomas Tuchel, here are the ratings for the individual players against Crystal Palace on Saturday evening. The Chelsea players rating is given from [1 – 10].
Christian Pulisic – 9
The American winger returned to the starting XI and picked up where he left off when he had to go off at half-time against West Brom. Pulisic capped his brilliant performance of the evening with a well-taken brace at the far post.
Kai Havertz – 8.5
Kai Havertz was the best player for the Chelsea side in the first half, leading the line with confidence and quality. The German got a well-deserved goal from an angle to open the scoring and he continued with a savvy pass to Pulisic for his first goal. Havertz is starting to look confident within himself and could actually prove to be an ideal signing for the Blues.
Kurt Zouma – 8
The Frenchman was on the end of a number of headers, especially in Palace’s box. Powered home a Mason Mount’s pinpoint cross to give the Blues their third goal of the evening. Zouma is starting to improve and show quality to be a starting center-back, plus his goal-scoring ability advantage to the team.

Mason Mount – 8
The youngster invariably puts in at least an 8/10 performance for Chelsea in most games these days and this one was no exception. Mount’s deliveries into the box were incredible and he was fortunate to get an assist for himself with a particularly accurate one onto Zouma’s head. Another thumping performance from the English lad.
Ben Chilwell – 7.5
After facing a bit of criticism recently for a few poor performances, the left-back has set that right against Palace. Chilwell was a constant menace down the left side for Chelsea, especially in the first half. Although he got beaten by Benteke for Palace’s only goal he can’t be expected to win that duel.
Mateo Kovacic – 7.5
The Croat helped Chelsea dictate the game for most of the period especially in the second half with some of his excellent passes forward. Kovacic was key to Chelsea’s switching of play, stretching Palace and helping create space for the Blues’ attackers to work their magic. A top overall performance from the midfield maestro.
