Frenkie de Jong has told his Barcelona teammates that he has no plans to leave the club, claims Cadena SER.
The Dutchman has also reportedly notified Man United that he will not be able to join them.
If Barca are unable to sell De Jong, they are planning to sell goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen instead.
Despite Frenkie’s current stance, the Red Devils are still continuing with their pursuit of the midfielder and hoping to seal his signing soon.
De Jong is owed over £15m in deferred wages from Barca, but is willing to take a 50% pay cut to remain at the club.
