Di Maria Finally Breaks Silence On His Failed Man United Career – Names The Cause
Angel Di Maria joined Man United in 2014 at a club-record £59.7m fee but his spell at Old Trafford lasted only one season.
A lot of hopes were pinned on him which was underlined by the fact that the Argentine was given the iconic No 7 that was made famous by George Best, Eric Cantona, and Cristiano Ronaldo.
As it turns out, Di Maria did not really appreciate the gesture.
“I didn’t give a f*** about the Manchester United No 7, at first they talked to me a lot about it… it was just a shirt,” the PSG star told Libero.

“Van Gaal was the worst of my career. I would score, assist, and the next day he would show me my misplaced passes.
“He displaced me from one day to the other, he didn’t like players being more than him.”
All in all, the Argentine just played 32 games for Man United before he was sold to PSG for £44m.
