Didier Drogba Sends ‘Congrats’ Message To Mo Salah After Breaking His PL Record
Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has congratulated Mohamed Salah on beating his record for most Premier League goals scored by an African player.
A hat-trick in the 5-0 thrashing of Man United took the Egyptian’s tally to 107 goals, while Drogba’s record stands at 104 goals.
The Chelsea great also took the opportunity to praise Salah’s Liverpool teammate Sadio Mane who has scored 100 Premier League goals and is also set to beat Drogba’s record soon.
The Ivorian retweeted a collage of himself alongside the two Liverpool forwards with the caption: “The new KINGS on the block”.
Earlier, when Salah just equaled his record, Drogba said: “I sent him a message to congratulate him.”

“Salah is also heading towards another record, that of the best African scorer in the history of the Champions League.”
Didier Drogba is right: his former Chelsea teammate (yes, that really happened) needs only five goals to equal his Champions League record (36 goals).
