“The fact is that we have a contract,” explained Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc to Sport1 regarding Erling Haaland’s future.
“But it is also a fact, and it’s no secret, that he can leave the club under certain conditions.
“It is clear that we fundamentally want Erling to stay beyond the summer.
“And by the way, despite the pandemic, we have no economic need to sell. That is also a fact.”
Dortmund demanded over £150 million to sell Haaland to Manchester United over the summer but it’s been reported that he has a £65 million release clause in his contract that comes into effect next year.
Meanwhile, the Norwegian continues to be unstoppable on the field, having scored 10 goals and provided three assists in eight Bundesliga games this season.
