Eden Hazard has noted that it’s good to face his former teammates but all he cares about in the end is the final score, pointing out that Real Madrid has to win, irrespective of whom they face.
“I played a bit more today than before, we have games before the end of the season and I want to be ready,” Eden Hazard told BT Sport after the Chelsea game as he was asked about facing his former side.
“I am just happy to be playing again. It’s always good to play against friends. Now I am a Real Madrid player so I just want to win.
“It [the result] could be better and it could be worse! We will go there looking for the win.”
The Belgian spent 7 incredible years at Chelsea and joined Real Madrid as a world-class player in 2019.
But since then, injuries have prevented him from showing his best in the Whites colors as he has made just 38 appearances for Los Blancos so far.
Eden Hazard was introduced in the second half against Chelsea in the Champions League but failed to impress, with a well-timed pass to Odrizola being perhaps the only good episode of the game for the 30-year-old.
