Eden Hazard Omitted From Liverpool’s Clash!: Zidane Explains
Eden Hazard has been omitted from Liverpool’s clash as Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane prepares to wait for the Belgian to be 100 percent fit.
Zidane confirmed that Eden Hazard was ready to play against Elche, a game after which he suffered a setback.
“The important thing is that he’s at ease with his return and that he’s fully recovered,” Zidane said of Eden Hazard ahead of Liverpool’s clash.
“I don’t think he was rushed back the other day [vs Elche] because the player felt good. We never take risks.”
“If the player is fit, I want him with the team. What we’re going to take things gradually and we’ll see when Eden is ready to be with us, but for the moment this is the situation.”

“We need all our players. Always. Of course, it’s a problem to pick the team, but I like to have the players fit and available and I don’t like it when one of them is injured.”
“We want to get Eden back as soon as possible because we’ve had a lot of injuries. We have got some players back and I hope that before the end of the season we’ll have all the players back.”
The former Chelsea forward sustained a relapse of his muscle injury in his first game recovering from a similar niggle. However, he has returned to training with the rest of the team but was nonetheless left of Madrid’s 21-man squad for Liverpool’s clash.
Meanwhile, Hazard has picked up 10 separate injuries and missed a total of 51 games over that period since joining Real Madrid in 2019.
