Eden Hazard Voted As Belgium’s ‘Ultimate Icon’ In Their 125-Years Football History
Real Madrid forward Eden Hazard has been given an ultimate honor in Belgian football by the nation’s football association. The former Chelsea sensation has not found life easy since his arrival at Bernabeu and has been dubbed a flop as he struggled with injuries and a poor physical state. But still, many still believe and expect Eden Hazard to make a career comeback in the all whites jersey.
In addition, the Belgian received confirmation that he is still in the hearts of many on Wednesday evening. The Royal Belgian Football Association announced that Eden Hazard had been voted the 125 Years Ultimate Icon by Belgian football fans. Hazard pulled off some heavy competition to win the prize ahead of players such as Vincent Kompany and Kevin de Bruyne, who both sealed the podium.

Belgium’s national team captain, Hazard, made his debut for the Red Devils back in 2008 when he was just 17 years old. Since then, Hazard has gone to score 32 goals in 106 appearances for his national team. Furthermore, the Real Madrid forward helped his country to a third-place finish in the last World Cup campaign.
“Our Red Devils have known some exceptional generations and the top 10 is a fine reflection of that. Although it is difficult to compare different generations, there is no doubt that Eden Hazard is a deserved winner as the captain of this golden generation,” said the RBFA on Hazard’s victory.
Congratulations to Eden Hazard on his latest achievement amid a difficult Real Madrid career.
