Chelsea’s first-choice goalkeeper Edouard Mendy has detailed that there’s a high level within the entire Chelsea squad. The Senegalese also adds that he shares a good bond with both the other keepers in the squad and the team’s success matters above everything else.
“There is a very high level in the group. Kepa has played some matches recently and they went well. I was happy for him, and the team. It says he is ready, too. I am happy for the team above everyone,” Edouard Mendy told Chelsea official website.
“My relationship with Kepa is good, like my relationship with Willy. We work together, we play for the same team, the same shirt. We need to stay together, and we push each other in the training ground.”
Kepa Arrizabalaga has made 5 appearances for Chelsea under Thomas Tuchel and is yet to concede a goal in any of these games.
The Spaniard started our Premier League clash against Brighton ahead of Mendy but despite the strong competition, it seems that there’s mutual respect between the goalkeepers!
