Erling Haaland is expected to leave Dortmund this summer. However, the Norwegian has insisted he is respectful of his contract with the German club.
When quizzed about his future, Erling Haaland told ViaPlay: “Well, I have a contract for a couple of years [with Borussia Dortmund], so I am respectful towards my contract.
“I am a simple guy. When I like something I just want to have more – when I score a goal, I always chase the next goal.”
His penchant for ‘chasing goals’ has seen him score 27 times in 28 Bundesliga games this season. As a result, the youngster has been linked with the biggest clubs in the world, including Manchester United.
But Borussia Dortmund’s price tag stands at €150 million. Add to that the hefty wage demand and Mino Raiola‘s fees, and it’s highly unlikely for any club to spend so much in a post-pandemic market.
Although Haaland’s contract runs till 2024, there is a release clause worth €75 million that will come into effect from June 2022.
