Fabrizio Romano Names Man United’s Next Transfer Priority After Sancho’s Deal

Manchester United have agreed to a deal in principle for Jadon Sancho with Borussia Dortmund and the transfer will go through after Euro 2020 when the player would be available for medicals and other necessary paperwork.

According to Fabrizio Romano, a tier-one source, the Red Devils’ next business ‘priority’ is to renew Bruno Fernandes’ contract at Old Trafford.

The reason is that the club’s board reportedly feels that the Portuguese’s efforts should be rewarded especially after adding another top owner in Sancho into the dressing room.

The 26-year-old currently earns a modest £100,000-per-week and a new deal is expected to at least double Bruno’s wages.

Bruno Fernandes’ contract expires in the summer of 2025 but United could offer a pay rise to the Portuguese contract before the start of the next campaign.

Elsewhere, Manchester United is looking to add a fresh face to the defense line with Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane reported as the no. 1 option. But United could look at other options such as Pau Torres of Villarreal or Jules Kounde of Sevilla if a deal for the Real Madrid man fails to happen.
