Former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is keen on bringing two Blues stars to his new club Lazio.
According to the Italian media outlet La Repubblica, Sarri is interested in bringing goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga on loan to Lazio. The ex-Chelsea boss took over the Serie A club earlier this week, and he’s claimed to look at his former club to strengthen his current side.
Meanwhile, Kepa is firmly a second-choice keeper behind Edouard Mendy which is not ideal considering that he was an €80m signing back in 2018.
Furthermore, it’s unlikely that the Spaniard will become a No. 1 at Stamford Bridge anytime soon, but a sale this summer would result in catastrophic losses for the club. Therefore, a loan could be a good option to help build Kepa’s value back a bit. So any offer from the Italian side is something Chelsea would look at.
On the other hand, the story looks a bit funny considering the incident between Kepa and Sarri at the League Cup final – although the Spaniard retained the coach’s trust and remained the first-choice goalkeeper after that.
The second name on speculation is Ruben Loftus-Cheek, another Chelsea star rumored to be on Sarri’s radar. Plus reports suggest that the midfielder, who spent last season on loan with Fulham is quite keen on the move too.
