Chelsea has taken somewhat revenge on the Foxes following their win over the Blues in the FA Cup final on Saturday. In this possibly a Champions League qualifying fixture, Chelsea dominated the encounter and finally got a well-deserved victory.
The first half ended 0-0 with Chelsea failing to utilize so many chances coming their way. However, after the break, the Blues found the breakthrough through Antonio Rudiger in the 47th minute following a corner.
19 minutes later, Jorginho converted a second from the spot after Timo Werner was hauled down inside the penalty area by Wesley Fofana.
Second-half substitute, Kelechi Iheanacho would put Leicester back into the game with 15 minutes left to play in the normal time.
But after an interesting game that saw lots of chances and highlights, Chelsea have recorded a deserved win at home in front of their fans to put them almost through to qualifying for the Champions League next season.
Chelsea is now ahead of Leicester in the Log with one point and one game to go.
