Kai Havertz has shared a picture of him training with the Germany national team.
The Chelsea midfielder was not in the matchday squad for the Armenia game on Sunday. According to Germany boss Hansi Flick, Kai had contracted a ‘flu virus’.
It remains to be seen whether the 22-year-old would be available for selection in Germany’s World Cup qualifier against Iceland, scheduled for Wednesday.
Havertz has started the season strongly, opening his goal account for the new campaign against Liverpool on matchday 3.
Should he be fit to play for Germany against Iceland, the attacking midfielder should of course be available for Chelsea for their weekend clash against Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge.
