Despite having the advantage of an away goal at hand, Chelsea still needs to field their best XI against Real Madrid to get through to the Champions League final on Wednesday.

Domestically, a top 4 place is now looking secured for Chelsea, so the team can gear up to arguably their biggest game of the season so far.

Hence, in order to take the opportunity to go through to the final, here is how the Blues could line up against Real Madrid on Wednesday based on the most recent performance against Fulham.

How Chelsea Could Line Up Against Real Madrid Based On Fulham Win

Goalkeeper

No doubts who the no. 1 is at Chelsea after Edouard Mendy has continuously put up strings of impressive performances since joining the Blues. And most recently keeping a clean sheet against Fulham on the weekend.

Defense

At center-back, Thiago Silva will have to play his 4th game in about 12 days alongside the excellent Christensen. Moreover, the third spot could go to Zouma as Rudiger is not recovered from his knock yet, otherwise, the German must start.

At the left wing-back position, Ben Chilwell should be a certainty to play as a result of his recent form. Then Azpilicueta, who was rested against Fulham will likely play from the right wing-back position.

Kai Havertz got a well-deserved brace against Fulham, and following that performance, the German should absolutely be handed another start as the in-form player up-front.

Then Mason Mount and the rested Christian Pulisic will round out what should be a potent Chelsea team that can comfortably get the job done.

Predicted Chelsea XI Against Real Madrid: Mendy, Rudiger, Thiago Silva, Christensen, Chilwell, Jorginho, Kante, Azpilicueta, Mount, Pulisic, Havertz.
