How Cristiano Ronaldo ‘Killed’ West Ham In the Dramatic 1-0 Win Finally Revealed

Cristiano Ronaldo might not have been directly involved in any goal in Man United’s 1-0 win over West Ham, but his general work was really sharp.

This forced the West Ham official analyst to concede that he ‘killed’ them in the game, as per MEN journalist Samuel Luckhurst.

The analyst said: “One of the West Ham analysts said deep into the second half: ‘Ronaldo in that pocket is killing us again.

“Watching the goal back, he’s in that area and draws two players towards him, freeing up room down the left for Martial and Cavani.”

Looking closely back at Marcus Rashford’s goal, it can be spotted that Ronaldo drags the two West Ham center-backs to come forward and disrupts their positioning.

This allows Anthony Martial to play Edinson Cavani free on goal, before the Uruguayan slides it into Marcus Rashford to score the winner.

The Portuguese, who turns 37 years old in a few weeks time might’ve lacked his scoring boots on Saturday, but his general IQ and ability to leave defenders scrambling played a big part in getting the late winner for United.
