During the game against Leeds United, the away crowd tried to wind up Cesar Azpilicueta by shouting abuse at him.
The captain blew kisses to the Leeds fans, a gesture that was received well by Chelsea supporters.
The Blues former captain John Terry has also reacted to the incident.
He posted a tweet with two similar pictures of himself and Azpilicueta confronting Leeds fans.
“Proper Chels,” Terry wrote, tagging Azpi.
Chelsea went 1-0 down at Stamford Bridge before Mason Mount leveled the scoreline going into the half-time break. The Blues would take the lead through Jorginho how converted from the spot after Rudiger won Chelsea a penalty.
