Manchester United have submitted a request to sign Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid next year, claims Spanish outlet AS.
The Portuguese youngster wants to leave Diego Simeone’s side and has already voiced his desire to the club.
Atletico are willing to sell him for the right offer, which would probably be very high considering they signed him for €120m two seasons ago.
United are among the clubs interested in signing him, but face competition from the likes of Newcastle United, Arsenal, and Liverpool.
Ralf Rangnick is reportedly prioritizing signing a midfielder in January, with RB Leipzig man Amadou Haidara on top of his wishlist.
The Red Devils would probably only pursue a move for Felix in the summer when the owners are ready to issue big-money moves.
