Jules Kounde Finally Breaks His Silence On Failed Summer Transfer To Chelsea

Throughout the summer, it had been reported by multiple sources that Chelsea were close to signing Jules Kounde from Sevilla. However, at the last minute, the Spanish club increased their demands and the transfer fell through.

Kounde was reportedly very angry over this saga and has finally opened up on it. He told the media (via Daily Mail): “We all know that the summer was troubled. I wouldn’t call it complicated. But it’s in the past now.

“I am concentrated on the team. The most important showing is the one on the pitch. The team needs me and I also need the team to give my very best which is what I try to do.”

It does sound like the center-back wanted a move to Chelsea. However, there is thinking about something that did not happen and Kounde is now focused on Sevilla.

Perhaps Chelsea can revisit the deal in January or next summer!
