“I don’t know if we will sell important players. If we complete some deals, maybe it won’t be needed. The priority is our financial situation, as of now,” Joan Laporta has told CatRadio.
“We’ll do what’s best for the club,” he added.
By ‘some deals’, Laporta possibly means the sale of Barca Studios and signing the CVC deal that would inject extra funds into Barcelona’s transfer budget.
If Barcelona fix their financial situation before the summer transfer campaign, they will not need to sell Frenkie de Jong – unless the player and the club agree that the move would favor him.
De Jong remains heavily linked to Manchester United.
