Latest Chelsea Transfer Round-Up As Club Wait For 1st Major Signing

So far in the transfer activities, Chelsea have looked slow to completing a deal for any player with only Billy Gilmour’s loan deal to Norwich has been confirmed while Victor Moses and Fikayo Tomori have left the Blues on a permanent deal.

However, the transfer window has a long way to go and the Blues have been linked with quite a few players. Thus here are the latest updates on a few of these names;

Erling Haaland

Reliable reporter Nizaar Kinsella of Goal.com outlines that Chelsea would love to sign the striker but a deal is difficult this window.

Any deal this summer will be well over £100 million and while less reliable sources have mentioned that Chelsea could finish the deal this window, it seems unlikely as things stand.

Raphael Varane

In the latest update, Marca understands that the defender wants to leave Real Madrid – any interested club will have to dish out at least $60M for the center-back.

Moreover, Christian Falk of Bild reported before the start of the window that Varane will be Chelsea’s top center-back target, but no reliable news has come out of our pursuit over the player since then.

Declane Rice

Perhaps the most positive of them all, the reliable Matt Law reportedly has some new news on this topic – Rice has rejected 2 new contract offers at West Ham as he is waiting for Chelsea or Man United to ‘firm up their interest’.

And Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is understood to be a fan of the player. However, no official bid has been sent in yet for Rice.

Manuel Locatelli

The Blues are ‘scouting’ the Italian midfielder, according to Fabrizio Romani’s latest report. However, Juventus are favorites to sign the player as things stand.

Tammy Abraham

It’s unlikely that the English striker has a future at Chelsea. According to a new update from Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa will soon make a bid for their former player and he is expected to leave the Blues this summer.
