Lewandowski Finally Sends Message To Messi After Snubbing Him for The Best Voting

Lionel Messi famously claimed that Robert Lewandowski deserved to win the Ballon d’Or 2021 instead of himself.

However, he didn’t vote for the Bayern Munich superstar in the FIFA Best awards. Instead, his choices included Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, and Karim Benzema.

When asked about the contrast between the PSG forward’s words and actions, Lewandowski told reporters: “Those were very nice words from him.

“Now regarding his choice: the question has to be asked of him.

“I didn’t do anything wrong that he can be mad at me – except sporting things.”

Lewandowski, who eventually won the Best award, added: “Privately, I hope everything was okay.

“That was his choice, I have to respect that. I don’t have to say anything negative or be mad.”

The Polish striker incidentally voted for Messi but clearly, the favour was not returned.
