REPORT: Lionel Messi Makes A Key Transfer Decision
Although it’s unsurprising, Lionel Messi has made a key decision about his Barcelona future and his possible transfer to another club.
The Barcelona captain just made a fundamental transfer decision that will affect FC Barcelona for the next five years at least. Just last season, the Argentine sent a transfer request in order to exit the Catalan club for free. He was clearly unhappy with the club’s institutional problems and couldn’t take it any longer. Plus the club failed to win a single trophy last season for the first time since Lionel Messi’s Barcelona career.
However, out of the few good things president Josep Maria Bartomeu did was blocking Leo’s exit during those turbulent times last season. It was enough for the 33-years-old to cool his head and to think about his decision for a while before making it. Now, as time passed and with a new president at the helm, Lionel Messi began to realize he might have been wrong after all.
Meanwhile, the manager Ronald Koeman is finding the ideal starting eleven this season and the squad is winning matches. Also, with other aspects of the club’s improvement so far, Messi seems to have finally reached a decision.

Will Lionel Messi Be Staying Or Leaving Barcelona?
According to El Chiringuito’s Jose Alvarez, Lionel Messi needed only the previous month to decide his future. At the moment, it has been reported that the Argentine has pretty much decided to remain at the club but there are still some details to polish. Firstly, Joan Laporta needs to convince the six-time Ballon d’Or winner there is a worthy project to fight for titles over the next five years. If the project attracts him, then money won’t be an issue for him.
As the case may be, Lionel Messi will be happy to cut his salary in half in order to bring a top player who can help him win titles. And after sitting down with his family and talking it over, it seems the Messi family isn’t leaving Barcelona after all.
Hence, they all decided that staying is in their best interest. Now, it over to Joan Laporta to make the ideal offer for the Barca captain to properly make the decision and make it official.
